About Rural Web & Design

Simple.

I don’t believe in reinventing the wheel. I strive to create simple and elegant designs that capture the feel of your business. I offer a range of solutions that will best meet your needs, from hand-coded HTML and CSS to customized templates you can later update yourself. When your business needs more robust support, I like to build off and customize existing frameworks like WordPress and Squarespace to keep the process user-friendly and to save you time and money.

Reliable.

As a one (wo)man business, I am able to work with you one-on-one through the process of creating your website and print materials. I am honest about estimates and scheduling… you don’t commit to anything until you know what it is you’ll be receiving and if I can’t meet your needs, I’ll let you know, and suggest some other options for you.

Affordable.

I want custom websites to be available to any business or organization, whether you are a small family farm or large established non-profit. So from the start you decide how much you want to spend, and I let you know what I can do to get your website online within that budget, even if it means you start off with only one page and work from there.

Web design & promotion

Every small business has to think about advertising and promotion, and these days, websites are a necessity. Customers like to be able to do a simple search online and quickly see who you are and what your business offers before they visit. Just for a start, a website allows visitors to find out more about you, see pictures of your farm or products, view a map and driving instructions to your location and keep in touch with your latest news.

A typical small website starter might include:

  • About 5 custom designed, mobile friendly pages containing your own written content and photos and/or logo
  • A custom header and layout design
  • Integration with social media
  • The purchase of a domain name (your own dot-com address)
  • The purchase of the hosting service

Many of our website projects are redesigns, where we work with your existing host to create a fresh version of your site – including any new features you may need.

We strive to meet the needs of each customer, and will be glad to help you determine what type of package will meet the needs of your business and stay within your budget.

Below are some examples of websites and social media campaigns I have developed for a variety of clients from small farms and artists to larger non-profit organizations.
